Knocknagoshel 1-14 Moyvane 4-4

Knocknagoshel pulled through in the end to win by the tightest of margins but Moyvane looked the more likely winners with 10 minutes to go as they led by 3 points. Moyvane got the better start with a goal and a point in the first five minutes, the goal coming from Niall Sheehan. Knocknagoshel were slow to start but Edmund Walsh got their scoring under way with a well taken point. It was followed by points from Kieran Long, James Walsh and Dan Roche before Niall Sheehan got his second goal for Moyvane. A penalty was awarded to Knocknagoshel for a leg block on Dan Roche as he was about to shoot for goal. Edmund Walsh stepped up and calmly slotted it home. At half time the score was level at 1-6 to 2-3.

Knocknagoshel started the second half brighter and substitute John O'Keeffe had two points along with points from Edmund Walsh. Moyvane got themselves back in front with two second half goals coming from Aiden Keane and Damien Flynn and they led by three with 10 minutes to go. Edmund Walsh showed leadership for Knocknagoshel as he pointed both from play and frees to give the home side the lead with a minute to go. Moyvane had one more chance to level the game but the final kick sailed to the right of the posts just before the final whistle blew.
